When I was on the town council, Josh helped to create Emerging Technology Committee and was the first chair of the committee. I was so impressed with Josh's critical thinking and communication ability, as well as organization skills. As a parent, he cared deeply about his young children and education system. Josh is definitely the best fit for PAUSD school board.

Josh has been such a valuable member of the Nixon community! His wife, Jennifer and he have both been actively engaged parents, serving in many different roles on our PTA over the years. Josh will bring energy, thoughtfulness, inclusivity, high integrity and strong collaboration skills to this role.

I know Josh since my son Luca and Jack have been classmates in first and second grade at Nixon. Josh is kind, caring, active and involved. I will never forget when, once, during Luca’s birthday drop off party, one of his friend was distraught because her mom dropped her off; every attempt to console her failed, until Josh (whom she had never seen before) showed up, and almost magically he could engage her with just few words. In few seconds, she was smiling and drawing portraits, and enjoyed the party very much. This speaks to Josh’s empathy, thoughtfulness and his desire to help children.

I know Josh to be a dedicated, diligent, honest and thoughtful person who puts the wellbeing of ALL our children first and will be a formidable advocate for each and every one of them. We overlapped for years as parents and in various capacities with the PTA at Nixon Elementary School.

I’ve seen Josh be very involved at Nixon Elementary. He has been room parent in classrooms, hosts parent events and is always involved in his son’s classroom activities. I haven’t seen many other parents as involved as Josh. I think he would be an amazing member of the board.

Josh brings empathetic listening, ernest engagement, and refreshing optimism to discussions about the educational mission of our schools so foundational to the health of our community.

Josh is my son-in-law, so I know first hand of his deep intelligence, kindness, thoughtful consideration of others and willingness to step in when needed to help out.
